Sundays in Bed With… #MyWeeklyWrapUp

We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed with, or which book you wish you had time to read today!

I picked up a book for all of five minutes this Sunday but now that it’s well into the evening, I’m looking forward to spending the rest of my night in bed with The Boy, the Wolf, and the Stars! I’m reading this for the blog tour next week and I managed to read five minutes of it this morning before my day became crazy! But how good does this synopsis sound?! I’m so excited to cosy up with it tonight!

A boy and his pet fox go on a quest to find a wolf who has eaten all the stars in the sky before the Shadow Witch destroys the stars and removes good magic from the world forever.

Long ago, the land of Ulv was filled with magic. But that was before a wolf ate all the Stars in the night sky, ridding the world of magic and allowing Shadow Creatures, beasts made of shadow and evil, to flourish. Twelve-year-old Bo knows the stories but thinks the Stars and the wolf who ate them are nothing more than myths—until the day Bo’s guardian, Mads, is attacked by a giant wolf straight from the legends. With his dying breath, Mads tells Bo that Ulv is in danger and the only way to prevent the Shadow Creatures from taking over is to return the Stars to the sky.

And so Bo—accompanied by his best friend, a fox called Nix, a girl named Selene who’s magic is tied to the return of the Stars, and Tam, a bird-woman who has vowed to protect Bo at all costs—sets off on a quest to find the three magical keys that will release the Stars. But Bo isn’t the only one who wants the Stars, and the friends soon find themselves fleeing angry villagers, greedy merchants, and a vengeful wolf. And all the while, an evil witch lurks in the shadows and time is running out.

What are you currently reading?

Oof, I’m gutted it’s Sunday already because I feel like I was just getting settled into my weekend by being super productive today, but sadly I now have to change gears to get back into work mode again for tomorrow! This weekend I had grand plans to work on two personal projects involving rearranging my desk + surrounding area, as well as rearranging my book shelf, but… 😬 Heh, you know, life (and laziness!) happens! I legit can’t recall what I got up to yesterday but I did manage to kick my butt into action mode for a good chunk of today and I’m happy with the progress I made 🙂

Yes, it’s still a bit of a hot mess but progress!

Now that I’ve disassembled part of my desk and moved it in front of my bed, I think my room feels fresher and more spacious (even though it’s not lol) and I’m really liking the vibe! I also started switching the books on my top shelf with those on the lower shelves, and I’m about 1/3 of the way through right now. My shelf is so dusty it’s incredible so it’s definitely taking longer than I expected to dust my books + the shelf + rearranging it differently, so it was a bit of a work out and my back is definitely feeling it now 😂 (LOL that sentence makes me feel ancient!) I really can’t wait to continue working on it next weekend though so I’m hoping the week does fly by! 😍

Reading & Blogging Recap

I’ve started slowing down on blog tours for the remaining months of the year, and so I only have two more blog tours scheduled this month. I’m excited to tackle the ridiculous number of ARCs that I haven’t had the chance to rad yet and to also pick up some of the huge backlist on my shelves! I slowed down again on blog hopping and responding to comments this week because it’s been crazy at work and I thought I’d have time this weekend, but alas, here we are on Sunday and I haven’t! I’m sorry, I’m terrible! 🙈

TRACK HIGHLIGHT

I’m throwing it back with this tune that I recently rediscovered and it’s amazing how I still know all of the lyrics to this song when I forgot it even existed–especially when I can’t even remember what I did yesterday! 😂 Anyone else remember The Veronicas (or this song)?!

I hope you’ve all had a good weekend and that you have a great week ahead! Take care of yourselves and of each other, friends 🖤

  1. Rearranging your shelves always seems like a quick fun thing and then your get into it and you’re on the floor surrounded by stacks and dusting and you’re like I did not think this would take seven hours… 🤣
