Alright friends, THE TIME HAS COME! 😂 I’ll happily be wrapping up up weekend and spending my Sunday in bed with The Worst Guy by Kate Canterbary! I’m so ready to finally get acquainted with Sebastian 😏

What are you currently reading?

This week was a busy work week with a project closing event hosted in partnership with one of our biggest program donors and the Indonesian government. Despite some initial panic on the day of, the event went smoothly and I’m glad it’s over!

Other than that, I did some stress-relief baking this week and decided to make cinnamon rolls. This was my second time making them using the recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction and I think they turned out pretty alright, if I do say so myself, though I’d change how I made the icing cos it was a wee bit watery (oops)! It was my brother’s birthday on Saturday so we went for a nice hotpot lunch at a super bougie place 😂 but the food was fab!

I forgot to take a picture of his cake but we got him a dark beer chocolate cake with gold-foil-tipped strawberries and it was so decadent and delicious! 🤤 Mmm… I kinda want it for my birthday too! My parents left by car for Bali today and I’ll be joining them next week by flight. I’m planning to stay at our house there until May so there are lots of things to organise before I leave here and time seems to be flying!

This has felt like a pretty slow reading week… My mood is giving me pre-slump vibes and I’m not here for it. I’m having a hard time focusing on any book I pick up no matter the genre! Hopefully, this doesn’t progress to full-on slump vibes 🥲 I’m hoping Canterbary can work her magic on me! And on that note, ICYMI here’s what I posted this week:

  3. I don’t know what you’re talking about, those cinnamon rolls look like delicious perfection. I kind of like bougie places. I feel very fancy when I am in such places. I hope you enjoy your time with Sebastian and safe travels.

    • Aww, thanks, Sam! They tasted like cinnamon rolls so that at least is a plus! 😂 I do like bougie places sometimes but I also am so aware of my own awkwardness that I always end up feeling awkward in those places haha. I’m loving my time with Sebastian and I’m kinda sad that I have to put down the book for work today! LOL I hope you have a great week ahead!
