#TopTenTuesday: Summer 2020 Possibility Pile!

So, we’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is: Books on my Summer 2020 TBR (or winter if you’re in the southern hemisphere).

It’s already June but also how is it still only June?! Thinking about a summer possibility pile of ten books is tough because there are so many I want to read and how do I even choose?! Since last year when I really got into the book community I’ve tried focusing my June reads on LGBTQ+ books because of pride, but this year is a little different. One because I have really not been reading as much due to Animal Crossing, but mostly because as a mood reader it’s already hard having any ‘fixed’ kind of list, but it’s become even more impossible this year when my moods have been as wildly unpredictable as the year itself. I could just list the blog tour reads that I’ll be doing but I decided to pick a random mix of books that have been on my mind and that my mood has been leaning towards lately, so there’s a somewhat *high possibility* of me reading them this summer 😂

Clap When You Land this is screaming a mood right now!
Beach Readi can’t not read it this summer!
I Killed Zoe Spanosthis is a blog tour read and it sounds so good!
Unravel the Duski got the eARC for this coz I’m on the blog tour and i could cry lol
Wundersmithreally feeling this MG fantasy right now and finally received my physical copy!

The Places I’ve Cried in Publiccoz i’ve been in a bit of a “crying” mood lately and it’s cathartic!
The Worst Best Mani started reading a bit of it and it hooked me in! never say to romcoms!
Queeniecoz it’s about time!
The House in the Cerulean Seahonestly wasn’t even sure I’d be able to pronounce somnambulist!
Stamped from the Beginningi actually started listening to the audio last night and… it’s dense AF but such an important read. i don’t know how long it’ll take me to finish it but i’m determined!

Are you a mood reader or are you good with set lists?
Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR?

  1. I totally hear you on being a mood reader and wondering why time is passing so oddly this year. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by my post earlier.

  3. This is just such a fantastic reading list. I really can’t wait to pick up ‘I Killed Zoe Spanos’, I have some pretty high hopes for this one just based off the synopsis. Happy reading!

  4. I wondered if you were going to do a possibility pile! I love it. 😀 Oooh, you finally got Wundersmith?! Yes. That! Read that one! 😀 You want to be prepared for Hollowpox, after all. Also, The House in the Cerulean Sea. Read it. Love it. Shout at me when you do.

I’m super curious to see what you think of Stamped From the Beginning! It sounds like an important read, but also probably something that’ll put me to sleep, unfortunately. There’s a shorter, more accessible version geared towards youth called “Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You,” and I think I’m going to pick that one up first. I really want to get a copy for the library, because I think it’s such an important book.

  5. I’d also really love to read Beach Read this summer!! (Even though I don’t think I’ll be able to actually go to the beach…) Happy reading! 🙂

  6. I’m such a mood reader, but I’ve recently bought quite a few books that are all at the top of the list of books I’m interested in! The book I’m most likely to read next is You Should See Me In a Crown because I’ve heard such great things, and every time I look at the cover it makes me happy!
