Friends, it’s the last #TopTenTuesday of this year and decade! How insane is that?! I just wanted to say that wherever you are and whatever you do to ring in the new year, I hope you have a wonderful 2020. For those who’ve had a particularly trying 2019, I hope that the fresh year will bring more light into your life. And as always, I hope everyone has a very amazingly book-filled year ahead! – 🐼💙
It’s that time of the week again, friends! We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is: favorite books I read in 2019. Last Friday I already tried to narrow down my list of favorite reads from the 200+ books that I read this year. I broke it down into categories and I managed to narrow it down to five books per category, which left me with a Top 30–it was hard 😅 Lol I think I just feel guilty because in narrowing it down I end up not mentioning the other amazing books I’ve read, and it’s like I’m ignoring them or not acknowledging the hard work the authors did? 🤣 Is that just me? I’m determined to still try and narrow it down to a Top 10 though so here goes nothing. I’m also gonna keep it short and sweet and stick to pictures.

I want to read Pumpkin Heads, but mostly I’ve been getting ebooks from the library, which is tough for graphic novels. I’ll have to pick up a hard copy sometime!

It’s a really cute graphic novel that I didn’t read too much into. It made me feel happy and I loved the art work too. It also made me really hungry, so there’s that, too 😂

My tablet won’t load the photos 🙄 (it loves to do that with your site…it’s not your site’s fault, it’s my ancient tablet. Almost as old as my phone. 😂😂) So I have no clue what books you chose for this list but I’m glad to see you have as large a number of fav reads this year as I do. Much love Dini <3333

I know for sure one of my favorites is one of your least favorites (Nightingale) hahaha so there’s that. It was so hard to narrow down the list for 2019 though. I hope it’ll be just as hard for 2020, so it means more awesome books! Haha

I’ve heard such great things about Normal People–once I was on a flight back home from England and the girl sitting next to me was reading it, and ever since then I’ve seen it everywhere. Hope you have a great reading year in 2020! 🙂

I think you either love it or hate it. At least, that’s how I feel about Rooney’s writing 😅Her debut sent me into a big mid-year slump in 2018 and I didn’t think I’d read another one of her books but I’m so glad I did. Normal People just really got me!

I always love seeing everyone’s favorites of the year. Evelyn Hugo, The Nightingale and The Simple Wild were my favorites from 2017 and 2018. And Verity was one of my top favorites this year!

I’d recommend Verity although it’s quite different to her other romances because this is more of a thriller! It’s so good though 🙂

Josiah and Deja totally made Pumpkinheads for me too, though I may be biased since Rainbow Rowell is one of my favorite authors! Verity is on my Kindle and I look forward to reading it in the new year, so happy to see another positive review for it!

I really need to read more Taylor Jenkins-Reid! I’ve only read one of her books but really enjoyed it. Made me think. and The Grace Year looks great also!

I’ve only read Pumpkinheads from your list! It wasn’t my favorite, but I liked the autumnal atmospheric setting.

The setting was really atmospheric and it made me want to go to a pumpkin patch and try all the foods too 😅 I loved the art work especially 🙂

Pumpkinheads was so cute! The Grace Year actually landed on my least favorite reads list, but I know I’m in the minority with that one. 😉 I’m hoping to pick up The Simple Wild soon. It’s been on so many lists.
